Today we decided to venture east on our way to New England on the "Seaway Trail". A 200+ mile route that basically follows the shore of Lake Ontario through upstate New York. We won't be driving the entire trail, but will hit some of the highlights. On the road today we passed through some charming towns and got some great views of the Lake and it's houses dotting the shores. We also drove through some beautiful farmland and had a chance to stretch our legs and pick up some fresh food at a stand just south of Sodus point. The kids even got to play awhile at the playground.

Since we don't have any idea where we were going to stay on this leg of the trip, we were happy to find Selkirk Shores State Park just a bit further up the road. The place is right along the shore of Lake Ontario and is beautiful. Out of the 120 sites there are only 6 that are occupied, we basically have the place to ourselves. I guess the schools don't let out for a couple more weeks...too bad we will only be staying for the night.

After setting up camp, Jack went for a bike ride, the kids played at the playground, we went for a little walk to the shore, played a little cards, and Jack got his toes painted. We watched the sun set over lake Ontario and headed off to bed.
