5-11-11

So last night after blogging, we stayed up until 12:30 planning the next week of our trip. Some obscure national park in southeast tennessee was to be our home for the night. On the way, we had a change of heart and decided that since we were so close, we should see Nashville.

On the way up I-40 we drove through Jackson, Tn. On the side of the road we saw a sign for a tour of Casey Jones house and train museum.

We decided to stop, since jack loves trains. Well it so happened that this was the home of "the" Casey Jones. As in "Driving that train, high on cocaine". You deadheads will probably know the rest of the story...(or you can goggle him). We toured his house, and Jack got to ring the bell on the replica steam engine.

Afterwards we spent some time in the shop which had tons of train stuff. Lucca even had fun watching the miniature trains drive around the shop.

When we were in the shop we got some great tips from a woman on some future stops and a great lunch buffet that was next door.

We got to our camp in Nashville about 5:30 ( another Yogi Bear land ) and had dinner right away. I am now posting from bed.
Nighty night!
