Today was our first day in Sequim. The lavender festival is this weekend so we knew we would be seeing, smelling, and tasting lots of lavender. We started the day at a tiny farm, Blackberry Forest. Of course Jack wanted cut lavender so we did that for a few minutes then moved on to the next farm. Purple Haze Lavender is one of the biggest farms in the area and Paul and I had been there before. It was amazing, fields and fields of lavender, chickens and peacocks (and three baby peacocks), lavender ice-cream, lavender lemonade, music and venders. We loved it! If we could ever have something close to as cool as this place we would be so happy. After listening to the band and having a yummy cheese board we moved on to the next farm.

Lost Mountain was the for sale. We had to go look and it was super cute. It was only three acres and we want more property than that. Jack wanted to cut more so we let him and made our way to the next.

Cedarbrook Farm was very different. They have a cafe, that was yummy, and focus on antique things. After this we went for a drive around Sequim. It really is beautiful, we definately like it here. Jack got to make a lavender sachet for Babette.

The last farm of the day was Jardin Du Soliel, we heard a rumor that it was for sale but maybe already in escrow so? As soon as we got out of the car our breathe was taken away. It was gorgeous I mean absolutely stunning. We needed to find out about this place. We asked who the owners were and right away asked them if it was still on the market. It was! We called their realtor from the parking lot. We had to find out more. After hanging out there for a long time we had to leave :(.

We drove around the town a little more and checked out one of the beaches.

This was a big day that we had been waiting for for a long time and it was finally here. I was feeling very overwhelmed and was beginning to shut down. We had seen so much and I was feeling so much emotion and exhaustion that after the kids were sleep I lost it. Paul and I got into a pretty big fight over things that don't even matter now. We fell asleep after we promised each other that we would figure out how to make Sequim a reality and work together to follow our dreams. We have to do this.
